"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is a Christ-centered, one-to-one care ministry in which trained and supervised Stephen Ministers walk alongside individuals who are experiencing grief, illness, loss, divorce, job challenges, or other difficult life situations. These caring lay members provide confidential, gender-specific (men with men, women with women), compassionate support through regular visits, listening, prayer, and encouragement grounded in God’s Word. Stephen Ministers are not counselors, but loving Christian friends who offer consistent presence and hope for as long as the need exists.
Lay Eucharistic Ministry
Our Home Communion Teams provide Holy Eucharist to those who are unable to regularly attend worship services on Sundays. Team members are commissioned and equipped to visit parishioners and their loved ones in homes, hospitals, and other care facilities in order to share “the holy food and drink of new and unending life” in Christ.
Pastoral Care
Our clergy are available for pastoral care to provide spiritual direction, prayer, and biblical counsel.
Our priests are available to provide Reconciliation of Penitence, commonly known as Confession. Please call the Leah Blanks for an appointment, 334-387-0566, ext. 201.

Covenant Groups
Covenant Groups are our primary small group ministry at Christchurch, where groups gather in homes for Bible study, prayer, and growing with one another throughout the ups and downs of life. Whether you’re new to the church or have been here for years, Covenant Groups are a place to be known, supported, and encouraged as we pursue Christ together.
The Love of Christ (TLC)
The TLC ministry recipients receive cookies, flowers, visits, and other acts of love and kindness from parish volunteers.
Soul Soup
Soul Soup volunteers make and freeze soups that are stored in the church kitchen, and are taken to those in need of a pre-prepared, home-cooked meal. To receive a meal, please use the form below; to become a volunteer, please contact Cindy McLaughlin
