Children and Pro-Life Ministries

Montgomery Christian School: This special non-profit school just expanded into a much larger space! Every Kindergartener through 6th grader receives a scholarship to this quality private Christian education! Please contact Katherine Akin to hear about the many volunteer and sponsorship opportunities!
Dream Court: Dream Court is a non-profit organization that provides an adaptive tennis program for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities that encourages inclusion and acceptance in sports and in day-to-day life. Not only do they focus on promoting an active lifestyle but also modeling social behaviors and developing self-esteem.
Anglicans for Life: Working to uphold the Biblical principles concerning the sacredness of life, Anglican for Life partners with local agencies like Sav-A-Life and Life on Wheels to help families find the resources and support they need to choose life! For more information, contact Dolly McLemore at 262-7527.
First Choice Women’s Medical Center: This local center offers important services to pregnant women such as free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, and prenatal care, as well as parenting education opportunities for both the mother and father! Their “Earn While You Learn” program allows parents to earn baby supplies from their on-site First Things Baby Boutique after completing video-based classes.
Valiant Cross Academy: VCA serves young male scholars in Kindergarten-1st and 6th-12th grades. It is a private school with a Christian emphasis and an intentional culture of structure and discipline. The academic program consists of small class sizes, longer school days, double the math and triple the literacy time, differentiated instruction, aggressive tutoring, and a weekly chapel service.

Homeless and Work Training Ministries

Hope Inspired Ministries: Hope Inspired Ministries is a work-study ministry that trains adults, using structure and accountability combined with empathy and compassion. This ministry provides critical life and work-skills needed to obtain, maintain, and excel at employment. More than a band-aid approach, they help men and women escape the hopelessness and despair found in a lifetime of poverty.
House to House: H2H, led by our own Cornelius Jackson (CJ), helps to rebuild and strengthen homes on the under-resourced west side of Montgomery, Alabama - both the physical structures and the families who live in them. H2H creates Christian mentoring relationships and teaches Bible-based classes on household budgeting, how to find and keep a better job, parenting, nutrition, anger management, and other critical life skills.
Reality & Truth Ministries: This ministry provides physical help for people through daily meals, clothes, and other physical needs. It also provides hope, spiritual help, and sound teaching through fellowship and Bible Studies!

Ministries assisting the elderly

Montgomery Council on Aging: MACOA assists senior citizens, promoting independent living and enhancing quality of life and increasing community awareness of senior issues. The popular Meals-On-Wheels is MACOA’s most visible program. Volunteers deliver hot, nutritious lunches to over 425 homebound seniors five days a week.

Serving the World

Uganda

Christchurch was created 20 years ago as a Ugandan parish under the authority of the Sebei Diocese of Eastern Uganda, only afterwards coming under the authority of our current bishop in the Gulf Atlantic Diocese. But, by God’s grace, we’re blessed to continue a close relationship! For more details, contact Katherine Akin at 462-0804.

Christchurch is honored to sponsor 170 precious children at Allsaints Primary School through our annual Giving Tree program! We work with the Church of Uganda to provide educational opportunities and medical support for these orphaned and vulnerable children. We want them to learn not only their ABCs, but also about the eternal hope and love of their Heavenly Father! For more information, contact Katherine Akin at 462-0804.

Ukraine

Bridges of Faith started with a goal of offering Ukrainian orphans the opportunity to be hosted in the homes of Christian Americans. With the ongoing war, mission trips to Romania are being planned to shift their focus to supporting Ukrainian children who have had to flee their homes. For more information, contact Tom Benz at benz@bridgesoffaith.com or 221-0385.

Guatemala

Christchurch will be sending our 7th team on an International Mission trip to Panajachel, Guatemala next May! Relationships have been made in the past with the people of Guatemala that will continue and grow. For more information about future mission trips or to hear how you can help build water wells providing vital clean water, please contact Katherine Akin at 462-0804. Watch for more information this October!!
