Student Ministry

Growing together.

Partnering with parents in the spiritual formation of students grades 6-12 through worship, Bible study, fellowship, and service opportunities

Sunday Morning

11:15am-12:00pm

Student Sunday School
Middle School (6th-8th grade),  The Café
“Who do you say that I am?” From the beginning of human history, the question ‘who (or, what) is God?’ has made us wonder and speculate. This is, perhaps, one of the biggest questions we can ask, but – because of that – it is one of the most important! Join us after the Sunday Eucharist as we delve deep into the question of who God is, taking the Nicene Creed as our guide, and learn how it is that we can talk about him.

High School (9th-12th grade),  Emmaus Room
Ever wondered how all those books in the Bible, and all those names and places and stories, fit together? Join us after the Sunday Eucharist as we take a ‘bird’s eye view’ of God’s work of creation and salvation, exploring the narrative arc of the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. Through the creative programme, ‘CASKET EMPTY’, we will explore how the lives of our ancestors in the faith have revealed to us who God is and what God does.

Sunday Evening

5:00pm-6:30pm

High School Youth Group
Luminaries: Come join us on Sunday evenings as we cook and eat and learn together about what it looks like to live the Christian life out in the world. Each week, we will focus on a particular person in Christian history, a ‘luminary’ whose walk with Christ offers us an insight into the many and varied ways God calls us to his service and uses us for his purpose. As we reflect on the lives of these saints, we shall explore how the path of discipleship has been navigated by those who have gone before, and ponder what it is for each one of us to likewise be called to be saints in the world.

Wednesday Evening

W.O.R.D. Puppet Ministry
The W.O.R.D. Puppet Ministry is for those in the 4th grade and above. We practice on Wednesdays in the Emmaus Room and help lead Children’s Church for our younger children on a rotating basis. This is a great opportunity to learn the art of puppetry and build relationships with other youth as we minister to our church family and the community. For more information, contact Lee Ann Hester at 387-0566, ext. 210.
